What is a G Body?

A G-Body is a General Motors model body letter designation. The G-Body was started in 1978 and went to 1988. The designation was used across almost all of GMs medium sized cars in that time frame. The list of G-body platform is as follows

- Chevrolet Monte Carlo CL (1981-1985)

- Chevrolet El Camino "Choo Choo" (1983-1987)
- Buick Regal (1978-1987)
- Buick Grand National (1982-1987)
- Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme (1978-1987)
