What is a Bubble Caprice?
With Box Chevy and G-body News we aim to give you real information from people actually in this form of car customizing.
A Bubble Caprice or Bubble Chevy is a 1991 to 1996 Chevrolet Caprice Classic. It got the nick name bubble from its overall shape. The car is very rounded almost bubble like, hence the nickname Bubble. This was a total departure from the Box Chevy era of the previous years. Fun fact even though the Box Chevy and Bubble Chevy look completely different they share the same frame and suspension, so these parts can be interchanged with no issue. the only problem that will arise is the bolt patterns for the wheels are more often than not are different. Most Box Chevys have the small Chevy bolt pattern 5 x 5 3/4 and most Bubble Chevys come with the big Chevy bolt pattern 5 x 5.
